Twelve-week-old Otis, a floppy-skinned Hungarian Vizsla pup from Georgia, is melting hearts online—not just with his wrinkly cuteness, but with his Oscar-worthy attitude.
After getting gently scolded for nibbling on his dad’s hand, Otis didn’t just pout—he sulked. And not just any sulk. We’re talking full-on, belly-up, lifeless-dramatic-actor sulking.
His mom, Annalee (@otisbegotus on TikTok), captured the moment and shared it with the world. In the now-viral clip, Otis lies on his back like a tiny, betrayed toddler while his dad, Jake, rubs his leg apologetically. When Annalee gently asks, “Are you mad?”—Otis side-eyes her like a seasoned soap star. Naturally, the internet lost it.
The video has been viewed nearly 300,000 times and racked up over 47,000 likes—because who among us hasn’t needed a dramatic moment when we felt unfairly judged?
“He sometimes will sulk if we tell him no, but that video was the most dramatic sulk yet,” Annalee told Newsweek. “His skin is so loose, and he has so many wrinkles that it just makes him look even more of a grumpy old man when he pouts.”
Though he may look like a four-legged drama king, Otis is normally playful, loving, and—according to Annalee—very “sassy.” He loves fetch, morning birdwatching, and cuddling up close to his humans. He also has a way of talking back with little whines when asked questions.
The “incident” happened when Otis was snuggled in Jake’s lap, doing what puppies do: gently biting with those needle-sharp puppy teeth. A calm “no” was all it took for him to stop—but he clearly wasn’t ready for playtime to end. Enter: the pout heard around the world.
“He’s such a great pup and we are so lucky to have him,” Annalee added. “He’s going to make a great life companion.”
Of course, many dog owners could relate—and flooded the comments with their own tales of Vizsla theatrics.
“Our viz is almost 7 and he still stomps his feet, strops if we dare go up to bed later than 9pm, and puts his gums up if we don’t understand what he’s whining to us about,” one user, Gem, wrote. “But he is my best friend in the whole world.”
“Don’t you dare laugh at that sweet boy ever again … he’s sensitive,” Ashley chimed in.
Another added:
“My puppy was just like this. A simple ‘No’ sends him into a shame spiral. The benefit is he only needs told no once and he’ll never do it again.”
Dog behavior experts at Dogs Trust remind owners that puppy biting is totally normal—especially when they’re exploring the world with their mouths. Redirection to toys, consistent calm responses, and plenty of stimulation (and naps!) are the best ways to teach boundaries while keeping the bond strong.
As for Otis? He may be dramatic, but clearly, he’s also deeply loved.
And judging by the reaction online, he’s already stolen more than a few hearts—temper tantrums and all.
